T-DMB Trial in India

Following the announcement regarding the launch of T-DMB services in China which was covered in a previous post, India now plans to hold a trial of T-DMB technology in Mumbai this month. The trial is conducted in collaboration with the Korean Information and Communication Ministry, which is pushing global adoption of T-DMB technology.

Do you know if its really happening or is it just hot air. its funny as I was reading yesterday about DMB (do not recall where), and saw India mentioned, so I noted to look for more info today, and your blog posting was the first on Google search.

Any how is it any news?

I couldn't find any further information on that trial, so I can't tell if it actually took place.

I am also asking around and searching now. I Found http://www.becil.com/story/2006/5/31/2818/16170
Its posted in Nov 06, and say DVB-H will be issued second half of 06, I guess its typo. I was told their big target will be the commonwealth games and that's 2010 (I think).

Any how, do you know any forum which focuses about mobile TV and where its easier to exchange views and information.
I opened account on ma.gnolia, and use it for my bookmarks, I created account for mobile TV, so at least its easier to share related bookmarks and even have small discussions.
Enjoy
